| Description: | This auction is for a pair of affordable superstar Hall Of Famers both with much greater eye appeal than their technical grade. The 1934-36 Diamond Stars - Hank Greenberg #54 RC is the tougher "Greenburg" error and would grade VG/EX due to a tiny 1/4" edge wrinkle on the right border. However, a previous owner has penned an "E" over the manufactured "Greenburg" to correct the spelling mistake. Also there is a mostly erased "1B" on the upper edge to the right of his hat. The 1939 Play Ball card of the New York Yankees Hall Of Fame Superstar Joe DiMaggio #26 also has a VG to VG/EX appearance on first glance but has a surface scuff spot and some creasing in the bottom left corner. |
